Anika Farouq, FNP, ENP-C, is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Emergency Nurse Practitioner. She is a native Texan who started her nursing education at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas and continued her nurse practitioner training there. She has worked as an ER nurse at a trauma hospital and continued to work part time while in nurse practitioner school. Most recently, she worked as an ER nurse practitioner at Three Rivers Medical Center since May 2017.
In her ER practice, she saw the importance of quality primary care, nutritional education and healthy lifestyle habits to aid in the prevention of patients developing serious long-term health issues. Because of her critical care experience, she was drawn to functional medicine on a personal level and wants to empower her patients to optimize their health as well as managing acute and chronic illnesses.
In her free time, Anika enjoys hiking with her dogs, traveling, and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Southern Oregon.
