Carol Crisp, Ph.D., FNP-BC started her career as an ER/Trauma nurse after completing her Bachelor’s in Nursing at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She later joined the Air Force in Maryland where she received a scholarship to attend the Uniformed School University of the Health Sciences for her Master’s of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner. After a few setbacks, Carol graduated with her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas City, Missouri in May 2020.
Carol has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in various clinics throughout the United States (as well as in Afghanistan and Germany). She also completed a medical mission to Jamaica, authored two papers, presented at a couple of symposiums, taught at Boise State University’s AGNP program, and mentored numerous students during her career.
Carol has always encouraged alternative treatments and loves how functional medicine opens avenues of health for her patients. She likes to walk the path toward health with her patients. It is your path to follow, she is just the guide and mentor. As your guide, Carol will guide you toward your short and long-term health goals such as maintaining a healthy weight, managing signs of hormone imbalances, and helping limit pain through nutrition and alternative forms of activities as tolerated.
In her free time, Carol loves to hike, run, play with her older dogs, spend time helping people, volunteer with American Legion, ride her motorcycle, cook, read, crochet, find natural beauty in various locations, and spend time with her family.
