Heather Mata, MSN, FNP-C, brings more than 14 years of experience as a critical care nurse in cardiac, medical, and trauma intensive care. Heather grew up in Pennsylvania but fell in love with Southern Oregon after taking a travel nursing assignment in 2012. She knew this would be her new home.

Heather graduated with her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Graceland University.

Heather is passionate about health prevention, promotion, and education. She strives to help her patients feel empowered and in control of their bodies while giving evidence-based options to help them make choices about their own healthcare.

She is a dedicated advocate for her patients and believes in treating all people with respect and kindness. Although Heather cares for all members of our community, she has a special interest in assisting those recovering from trauma, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, and adolescents.

In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, trips to the coast, hiking, and taking every opportunity she can find to travel.
