Dr. Joshua Goodrum, DO has more than 10 years of experience in eastern and western medicine, personal growth and development, plant medicine, and meditation practice. With this unique and diverse background he strives to guide patients to wellness within all areas of their lives. With a deep devotion to healing, his passion is to inspire others to awaken their own inherent ability to heal themselves.
Dr. Goodrum currently resides in Ashland, Oregon. Originally from Western Pennsylvania, he completed both his undergraduate degree in Biology at Waynesburg University and Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. In Upstate New York, he completed his training in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment as well as training in Medical Acupuncture with the Helms Medical Institute. Subsequently, he studied Health Optimization Medicine, a practice that optimizes the health of the body’s cellular structure by detecting and correcting subtle deficiencies and toxicity’s at the level of the metabolome.
He then moved back to Pennsylvania and was the co-owner of a successful medical practice for 10 years, treating patients in the office, hospital and nursing home. Inspired to help those suffering from the opioid epidemic, he completed training in Addiction Medicine and became the medical director of two addiction medicine facilities.
Through this entire journey, he realized certain shortcomings of western medicine and decided to pursue several other alternative thought and healing modalities such as becoming a plant medicine facilitator, working directly with Wim Hof; becoming one of the first instructors in the US, working directly with Bob Proctor; becoming a Thinking Into Results facilitator and completing advanced trainings with Dr. Joe Dispenza.
Dr. Goodrum is thrilled to join OnePeak Medical. A quote by the Buckminster Fuller sums up his life’s mission as a Physician: “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
