Addie Perry

Melissa “Addie” Perry is an AANP board-certified Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner who has devoted over 20 years to improving healthcare. Addie’s journey as a Registered Nurse began within a Medical-Surgical unit in a rural hospital where she soon expanded her training to multiple departments including pediatrics, women’s health, intensive care, and emergency/urgent care. The breadth of that experience allowed her to transition into a leadership role within a Critical/Cardiac Care Unit for a large urban Magnet Designated hospital that resulted in a 13-year commitment to providing critical, cardiac, preventative, and pre-operative health care to families of the Treasure Valley in Idaho.

With a desire to expand her knowledge base and skill set, as well as a yearning to offer more to her patients, Addie went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing: Adult-Gerontological Primary Care from Boise State University in 2017, graduating with high honors. As a new Nurse Practitioner, Addie provided primary care, acute care, and mental health care for many individuals in her community who were under-served and had limited access to care.

Over the last couple of years, Addie has been passionately providing behavioral health care to patients in several states via telemedicine. Through all of Addie’s training and experience – rural and urban hospital settings, small clinic settings, and telemedicine – she developed an understanding surrounding the lack of available high-quality, compassionate, and meaningful behavioral health care, as well as a deep desire to provide such care.

With each patient interaction, Addie strives to foster a sincere, empathetic, and supportive environment of care. When visiting with patients, Addie feels it’s important to take time to ensure they feel heard and supported in their healthcare goals and pursuit of emotional well-being. She truly cares about her patients and strives to create a safe, trusting, and respectful environment where patients feel at ease and not rushed. Addie works to balance prevention and education with diagnosis and treatment to guide patients as they accomplish their personal and unique health goals.

A native Idahoan, Addie grew up loving the outdoors, spending time camping and enjoying Idaho’s many rivers with her family. In her free time, you can find her camping with her husband and two boys (ages 10 and 14), white water rafting, traveling with friends, attending concerts, spending time with family, cheering on her favorite football teams, or sitting in the sun on a beach alongside one of the many beautiful Idaho rivers!
