Vanessa Darnell, MSN, FNP-C

Vanessa Darnell, MSN, FNP-C brings a variety of valuable healthcare experiences to OnePeak Medical. Prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009, Vanessa worked in Kansas as a Registered Nurse in an emergency department, primary care clinic, and in a small rural hospital before pursuing her Master of Nursing in Family Practice.

As a Nurse Practitioner, most of Vanessa’s early work was in rural settings in Alaska where she gained diverse experience providing care in urgent care, family practice, internal medicine, and with a hospitalist group taking care of acutely sick patients. Since moving to Oregon to be closer to family, she has worked as a Certified Diabetic Wound Care provider in a wound clinic and provided primary care for patients in their homes when they could not get into their own clinic.

Vanessa has always been passionate about actively listening to her patients and in partnership with them, tailoring an individualized care plan so each person can reach their health goals and maintain a healthy and enjoyable life through all stages of life. Through her work and personal health experiences, she believes in giving the body what it needs to help heal itself and stay healthy.

Vanessa lives with her husband on nine acres where they enjoy spending time with their two and four-legged animals. In her free time, she enjoys motorcycle rides, camping, quilting, traveling, and spending time with friends.
