Johanna Clemens MSN, FNP-BC began her career in medicine over 30 years ago as a Medical Assistant. After graduating high school she became an LPN and worked in adolescent behavioral subspecialties and geriatrics. At that time she moved to West Virginia and while working in a small rural hospital obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing. In the hospital setting, Johanna worked OBGYN/nursery, med surg, geriatric, and eventually in the emergency/trauma unit. It was at this time that she returned to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Johanna graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2014 and entered family practice and urgent care. She soon realized her passion was collaborating with her patients to help them tap into their enthusiasm for self-care and partnering with them in their health and wellness journey. This genuine passion to improve the lives of her patients quickly earned Johanna a following as a dedicated, effective provider.

She later relocated to Alaska, adding a new specialty in rural primary care, as well as emergent and urgent care. In this new setting, she continued to employ the tools she had acquired to care for a new population. It was there that her continued need to understand and correct the root issues of disease became a clear focus. Her practice was driven by the belief in holistic medicine and treating not only the mind, body, and soul but also looking at the home life, environment, and diets of her patients. It was clear that alternative modalities were a complement to the traditional model of medicine.

Traditionally educated in the holistic approach of nursing, as well as years of patient advocacy and experience, Johanna brings with her a unique approach to partnering in the health and wellness journey of both men and women.
